HUMAN AND VETERINARY USE (small animals) 1/ HUMAN USE The CereTom® is an 8-slice mobile scanner which allows quality examinations (with or without injection, CTA, etc.) to be carried out at numerous locations. The combination of its scanning speed, its intuitive user interface and the display of real-time images make the CereTom® the essential tool for any clinician requiring high quality images at the point of care. Workstation The CereTom® workstation features advanced 2D, 3D and MPR visualization software. It also produces images compatible with DICOM 3.1 and integrates the worklist module, allowing easy integration with the establishment’s PACS. The CereTom® is equipped with a radiotransparent tablet and a system for attaching to the patient’s bed, allowing head and neck scans to be carried out on any medical bed. The patient is thus taken care of directly in his room and does not require transfer to the imaging department for his examination. CLINICAL USES • Intensive care CereTom® improves the safety and efficiency of patient care. Critical, intubated, ventilated patients present in intensive care units no longer have to be moved to the imaging department to benefit from a head and neck scanner. • Operating room The CereTom® provides rapid, high-quality intraoperative images to the operating room for a variety of neurosurgical operations. Its 32 cm tunnel allows for a scan of the patient during the operation with a radiolucent external fixator. Coupled with a neuronavigation station, it facilitates and secures the surgeon’s work. • Clinic With the CereTom® , patients can benefit from a scanner in the medical consultation room and thus facilitate the patient journey within the hospital. Appointment times for an imaging examination are thus reduced. • EMERGENCIES Prompt referral and management of patients with acute neurological symptoms are key elements of emergency department care. The CereTom® is a comprehensive scanner for neurological emergencies, including stroke, hemorrhage and traumatic brain injury. • Ambulances The CereTom® can be installed in an emergency vehicle to perform brain imaging directly at the point of care for a patient suspected of having a stroke. The CereTom® thus makes it possible to reduce the time of diagnosis, and therefore of treatment, which limits the risks of disability which can result from a stroke. 2/ VETERINARY USE • The CereTom® is a small-caliber, 8-slice, handheld CT scanner that provides the highest quality non-contrast perfusion, angiography, and contrast analyses. • Its combination of fast scan time, easy-to-use interface and immediate image viewing makes CereTom an indispensable tool for any veterinarian requiring high-quality, real-time images and cost-effective CT imaging. • Images are DICOM 3.1 compliant with a worklist modality module, which allows seamless integration with PACS. There is a radiolucent carbon fiber table designed to properly position the veterinary patient in the bore. This table is capable of supporting up to 75 kg. • The CereTom has a small footprint for easy storage when not in use. There is no need for a specially designed room or electrical upgrade. The CereTom goes where it’s needed in the hospital – operating room, emergency room floor, intensive care unit – wherever you need the analysis. When a patient is too unstable to move, the CereTom will go to the veterinary patient.
